Discussion about Google Page Rank

Google Page Rank for two versions of my websites (.com and .

Postby Hema on Tue Jul 31, 2007 11:41 am

Hi,
I had problem with .com domain registration so I started with .net domain for my website which was live for some time. I made it to reach PR6.

Then at some point of time I moved my site to .com and started working on it and then it became PR6.

I redirected .net to .com as I didn't want to loose .net references on Google.

Now My websites are doing flip flop. After every Google crawl .net and .com will become PR6 and other will go to 0.

From Google webmaster tool I've removed the references of .net, and keeping only .com version of it.

How do I make sure that Google and other search engines only refer to .com domain and not ,net domain. I still want to keep .net redirected to .com.

Thanks in advance for help.

Sounds simple. I assume you have only one copy of website i.e. .com and you are redirecting .net to .com.

Have you removed all files from .net domain root folders? If not then try to remove files and see what happens.

Don't be impatient you need to wait till Google visits you next time.

My understanding is somehow craw. is seeing .net in full.

Not sure why it is doing flip flop...

I think it works when I removed all the files from .net folder and
just kept index.htm for redirection.
I'll keep observing to see if it work.

Thank

Also I was wondering if I shall do a domain level redirection or shall
use the code in file to do it?
