To resolve this problem, install the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP.
After installing the Service pack follow the below steps.
1. Quit Outlook 2002.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
4. Verify that the following key exists. If it does, go to step 5.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\LDAP
If the key does not exist, you must create it. To do so:
a. Locate and then select the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook
b. On the Edit menu, click New, and then click Key.
c. Type ldap, and then press the ENTER key.
5. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value
6. Type NoDisplayNameSearch for the new value, and then press the ENTER key.
7. Right-click the new string value name, and then click Modify.
8. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
9. Quit Registry Editor.
